Jana Nidhi Successful Branch Awards

During the recently concluded AGM of NYCS, the awards for most successful branch were given out. Criteria for selection were formation of balanced Management Committee, involvement of committee in the daily operations, growth rate, profitability, overdue.

Palakkad got the 1st position in the awards, the criteria for which included formation of balanced Management Committee, involvement of committee in the daily operations, growth rate, profitability and overdues.

The Managing Committee of Palakkad Jananidhi is an example to all other branches and the members come from all walks of life like Chartered Accountant, Advocate, Teacher, and Business people etc., who are all committed social workers. Mr. C. Krishnakumar, is the President of the Branch and he not only a well known businessman in Palakkad but also the Vice-Chairman of Palakkad Municipality. Mr.Devadas, also a businessman, is the Secretary of the branch having a commanding voice in the industry and is well known in the Social circle of Palakkad. In the absence of them at the Awards Ceremony, Adv E Krishna Das, who is a practicing lawyer in the District Courts at Palakkad and presently is the Convener of Jananidhi Sub-committee, of NYCS, accepted the award.

Baramati branch bagged the second prize for being the most successful branch and model branch for other Jananidhi centres. Mr. Avinash Mote, Branch President of Baramati Jananidhi who is well known businessman with social committments leads the branch. Mr.Rajesh Bachal, Vice-President & energetic Management committee members look after the daily operations of the centre. Baramati records continuous profits for the last 4 years & maintains overdue to the minimum. Baramati branch is also working towards shifting into their own premises soon.

Uruli Kanchan Jananidhi branch was felicitated for being the Fast Growing branch. Mr. Vikas Shivram Jagtap is the President who leads the branch in the front-line, while Mr Archis Setiya is the Secretary of the Branch. Branch got a very good Management Commitee and surpassed deposits mark of Rs.1.00 Cr in the first year of its operations.
